Biotop Garden @ Loyola?

A Biotop unit
Yesterday Alex and I (Cameron) had a meeting with Nel Ewane, the agronomist/garden planner from Action Communiterre in good ol' NDG, to discuss putting in a Biotop (TM) system on the Communications and Journalism Terrace at Loyola. They have a whole slew of these "Biotop" systems for whom they are in search of a home. Last year, with 100 of them, they grew over 500 kilos of produce! Well, the back terrace of the CJ building is pretty much a perfect spot. With nice sun all day long, lots of space, and proximity to a water supply, we could soon be growing food for our partner The NDG Food Depot. Woo hoo! We are going to work on a plan in the next few weeks to present to the uni... if you are interested don't hesitate to get in touch! loyolafarmproject@gmail.com
